Hive holds your baby's first photos, your family's quietest hours, and the notes you write at 3am. We don't think of that as data. We think of it as your family. This page is our promise about how we treat it — in plain English. The full legal version lives in our Privacy Policy, and everything below is consistent with it.

Invite-only, always

Nothing in a hive is public. There are no public profiles, no discovery feed, no strangers. Only the people you invite can see anything at all — and role-based permissions let you decide exactly what each person sees and does. Grandma can cheer for every photo without seeing the diaper log; a night nurse can log feeds without browsing your memories.

No ads. Ever.

There are no advertisements in Hive and there never will be. Your feed is your family, not a marketplace. We will never let an algorithm study your baby to sell you things.

We never sell your data

Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to "partners." Baby-tracking apps have leaked and monetized family data before; we built Hive so our business model never depends on it. When Hive makes money, it will be because families choose to pay for premium features — never because your information changed hands.

Your voice stays on your phone

Voice logging and Siri shortcuts use Apple's on-device speech recognition. Raw audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted — only the finished log entry ("bottle, 3 oz") is saved to your hive.

Delete means delete

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. Deletion cascades: your entries and hive membership go with it. No dark patterns, no "are you sure" mazes, no retention tricks.
